ARM DOORS offers an exceptional range of fire doors. The stainless steel fire doors (flat or round pattern) prevent corrosion and rust. They are installed with a stainless steel corner strip reinforced on the inside with durable, heavy-duty PVC with a modern German design and high mechanical strength. As the doors do not attract bacteria or mold, they are easy to clean. The fire doors can be disinfected with water, soap or disinfectants without damaging the surface or appearance. The materials are resistant to heavy use, chemicals and impacts and therefore have a long life without requiring much maintenance.

Fire doors with CE EN 1634-1 certification

The fire doors are made of high-tech, fire-resistant materials and are certified according to CE EN 1634-1. Our fire-resistant cold room and freezer doors have also been rated by Intertek according to the requirements of the UL 10C standard and are suitable for overpressure fire resistance of up to 90 minutes (1-1/2 hours). In addition, the doors also meet the requirements of UL 10B (Negative Pressure Fire Rating) and NFPA 252 (Positive Pressure Fire Rating).

When carrying out fire resistance tests on fire doors, the complete door system is included, including the lock, door leaf and all accessories. The assembly of the door is also part of this system. The doors can be made of glass, metal or composite materials. The laboratory that carries out the fire resistance tests on the doors must be accredited according to the CE EN ISO/IEC 17025 standard.
This standard specifies the general requirements for the competence of testing and calibration laboratories.

Experience tests of the doors to be made fire resistant are carried out in accordance with the CE EN 1634-1 standard. The classification of fire doors depends on their place of use. This classification is based on the properties of the door in terms of integrity (E), insulation (I) and radiation emission (W).

• In hotels, doors to interior and exterior corridors are classified as EI30. This means that in the event of a fire, these doors must prevent the passage of flames, smoke, toxic gases and heat for 30 minutes.
• The class of the room doors to the escape stairs in the buildings is EI60. Therefore, these doors must have a fire resistance of 60 minutes.
• The fire class of the doors to the hall is EI90. Therefore, these doors must have a fire resistance of 90 minutes.
• Likewise, the class of the doors to the escape stairs is EI90.
